The Board has formed a senior group chaired by Chris Page (independent Non-executive Director) called the Strategic Markets Team. The purpose of this group is to formulate and develop the detailed medium term three year plans for the sales & marketing activity of the business.
These plans focus on our key consumer markets of cheese, speciality cheese, long life milk & creams, flavoured milks and butter. The three year plans incorporate, on the marketing side, the development of winning strategies for all our key product categories as well asfor retailer, licensed and Milk Link's own brands such as Tickler. On the sales side, we have developed strategic activity plans for our key channels of retail, foodservice and export and our key customers in each of these channels.
The Strategic Markets Team meets at least four times per year to review in detail progress against these plans and to ensure our direction and thinking always remain current and relevant to the consumer and customer environment and trends. In addition to Chris Page, the team includes: Ronnie Bell (Chairman), Peter Winstone (Vice Chairman), Neil Kennedy (Chief Executive), Terry Ward (Commercial Director) and Hamish Renton (Marketing Director) together with other members of his team as appropriate.
