Milk Link won its highest ever haul of awards at major cheese shows in 2009 with more than 190 in total. This included 52 gold awards and ten prestigious trophies including Supreme Champion at the Royal Welsh Show for Tuxford & Tebbutt's blue Stilton.
This performance continues the winning form that the company's cheese business showed in 2008 when it picked up over 180 awards for its cheeses.
These awards at prestigious events are testament to, not just the high quality nature of the cheeses it produces, but also the skill and dedication of the staff in its creameries.
Particular highlights from 2009 included:
- Winning ten trophies at various shows including The Chris Braund Memorial Trophy for Taw Valley's best prepared block cheese at the Royal Bath & West Show.
- Tuxford & Tebbutt Creamery winning Supreme Champion for its Stilton at the Royal Welsh Show.
- Lockerbie Creamery winning Reserve Champion for its mature cheddar at Nantwich.
